Captain Tom's War was an ultra-fast turnaround documentary for primetime ITV commissioned by their Current Affairs department. Built around an intimate interview with the record-breaking fundraiser Captain Tom Moore, it told the story of his part in the Burma Campaign, a brutal and often overlooked conflict in World War 2, and the part it played in making him the man he would become.
